This motivating writing task can be done is several different ways.
Our favorite way is to have kids write an answer each question, then cut out the four squares and tape them 1 at a time to a ball. Then get seated on the floor they can roll the ball to a partner and the partner can read what they wrote. The partner then takes it off and tapes on one of their answer squares and rolls the ball back. Do this until each child has had a chance to share all their answers.
Skills for this activity include: visual-motor, visual tracking, fine motor, sentence generation, social-emotional, trunk control , UE coordination & balance. Tearing tape off of a dispenser is an ADL task that is sometimes missed in therapy. Now you get a chance to incorporate the skill.
