Bowling outdoors or indoors can be fun for clients of all ages. A wonderful way to increase stamina, improve mood, positive energy, social skills, visual-motor and balance skills.
You can try carrying a weighted ball and run weaving between the bowling pins.
OPTIONS: You can tape lines or draw some on cement with sidewalk chalk if you do not have a carpet runner.
Do not have bowling pins, no worries. Make some out of drinking bottles. For coconut bowling use a coconut for the ball and water bottles with colored water in them to look like the ocean.
NOTE: Bowling can be adapted for wheelchair clients at many bowling alleys.
