Make A Checkerboard

This is such a wonderful writing training tool.
PT: This can be used by taping it to a wall or under a table and have clients stand on rocker boards or lay on their back to complete it. [wrist weights can be added]
Stronger arms contribute to increased participation in various ball activities because it now take less physical effort allowing more energy for visual attention elements.
ST: Use white squares intermixed with a colored square (like the illustration at the bottom of the page) and then place a letter to articulate in the other squares or a star for each direction followed.
OT: Add a writing element to this by having kids place a letter or symbols in each square rather than coloring it solid.
