Line Awareness Samples

A simply captivating way to learn about lines. We traced objects, drew basic shapes and then kept drawing parallel lines within the shape. This is a wonderful tool for all ages, and it is a spectacular way to engage visual attention, coordination, and increase line awareness. And all you need are markers and a white sheet of paper. If you have limited resources for your fine motor obstacle course, this activity can work well to reach your goal. Have clients stand o rocker boards or hold clip boards. In a hospital bed, clients can do this to increase tolerance.

Creative speech therapists may have kids draw a line each time they repeat or say a word that targets their goals.
