Favorite School Test for OT’s

If you have not been doing pediatrics and now find yourself thrust into the school setting, here are some of the most common standardized tests being used.

**VMI = Beery Buktenica Visual Motor Integration (good for ages 3 and up), This test can be done every 3 years and is easy to score and administer.

**Peabody = Developmental Motor Scales (birth to 5), This test comes with several items such as blocks, and pegs.

**Sensory Profile = Sensory Profile School Companion (pre-school to high school), This test involves getting input from a teacher or parent and it is easy to score.

**SFA = School Functions Assessment (elementary school)

Check out the details on line. Often times the schools will purchase these items for you and scoring is fairly easy.
