As the video illustrates, this may be difficult at first and I did make this course difficult by not color coordinating the footprints and having the paths cross over each other at 2 different areas. What is thrilling, is that the entire class (middle school ALC class) was able to get it and had fun with it for 3 months the kids did not want it changed out.
This activity especially builds skills with visual discrimination and attention to details. Kid’s brains have to filter out what visual data is important to pay attention to and what is not important. A very good skill indeed.
