Sidewalk obstacle courses are easy to make and fun to do for all ages. If you are setting one up indoors, you may want to use colored tape rather than chalk to mark out your course.
Your course can improve, visual processing, visual tracking, balance, sensory modulation, coordination, thought organization, memory, and task attention.
We have included a basic sidewalk obstacle course chart to get you started.
OPTION: Try having clients use light ankle or wrist weights when completing the course. This can be adapted to wheelchair clients by using arm motions instead of jumping etc.
