Red Bird Paper Bag

Activities like this make tracing a hand or cutting and pasting tasks meaningful which will help make stronger pathways. Understanding how parts come together to make a whole item is just another benefit to doing this task.

Supplies: 1 red paper bag
Red paper to trace hands on
1 piece of yellow paper for a beak
1 pencil to trace hands
Scissors to cut the hand prints out
2 google eyes (or paper to make them)
1 glue stick, and optional jewels, stickers, spangles, colored paper pieces to embellish your bird.
Note: Speech therapists may have kids talk like a bird or imitate words.(You can find word lists in the speech section)
