First work on scribbling and then make it meaningful by having kids draw something that is meaningful. Once they have that, they may be more likely to begin drawing in-between the space (‘road’) and forming their first 2 letters or shapes. This is a wonderful introduction to writing for pre-K kids.
OPTIONS: You can work on grasp development by having kids place beads or stickers starting at the top of each letter/shape. Another favorite option with this is to turn the letter “C” into a rainbow by re-writing over the letter with several different colors.
