Fork Painting: Flower

This is an easy painting task to keep messes at bay. Two or three drops of paint is all you need to make a flower. This activity also helps with visual spacial planning and a better understanding of the shape of a circle.

SUPPLIES: Fork, acrylic/craft paint, construction paper, and you can use your finger to paint the stem.
DIRECTIONS: Have client view a sample, then set about making their own flower. They can point out to you where the center of the flower will be (this is where you may place a dot of paint for them to spread out with their fork) and then place paint there.
OPTION: This can be a good visual memory task if you show the picture and then ask the client to reproduce it with the supplies you have laid out on the table.
Have fun spreading paint and joy!
