In a hurry to get skill building in? This simple task can help with line awareness, sensory input, spacial awareness, and shape identification.
SUPPLIES: Yarn or lace, glue, sequins or spangles, and a piece of paper to put it on.
OPTIONS: You can use things that are handy such as sand, carpet threads, colored tissue paper, uncooked rice, markers, and tinfoil.
TIPS: If you are working on memory, you may provide a list of items that they can use and then after introducing them, remove them from sight. Now have them ask for each item that they want to use. You can have kids write down the New Year and decorate each of the numbers. This is a flexible activity.
